Jesus ministry was so needed and popular that crowds of people came to hear him and be healed of their diseases. Can you imagine what it would be like today if a revival was taking place, people were being touched and healed, and the preacher slipped off somewhere to pray instead of attending service? That preacher would be the talk of the town. He would be criticized and run down because he wasn’t there to meet “MY” need. But, Jesus often found it necessary to still away where He could pray and talk to the Father. It is a great example for us. (Luke 5:15-16 Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses. 16. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.) Don’t allow people to take all of your energy, effort, and time. Regardless of how well your work or ministry is going, you “MUST” always find time to pray. Talking with God is the only way to stay renewed and energized. You become selfish minded when you don’t spend adequate time in prayer. You may even start to believe that you have something to do with the miracles God is working through you. Even in our everyday life, we need to find time to get away and talk with God. Jobs, children, finances, physical needs, and other issues would go much better if we talk them over with God every day instead of attempting to handle them ourselves.
