A life of thanksgiving is one of the essential guardians of your soul. Being grateful is one of those weapons the devil cannot stand.

Imagine your life as a city. A city surrounded by enemy forces aimed to destroy you. And suppose there is a song which the enemy and their sympathizers can’t tolerate or approach. That song is a song of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is one of those weapons the devil cannot stand. Satan cannot stand when you keep praise on your lips.

*Colossians 2:1-8

Paul wanted the people to know about his struggles and conflict in continuing to serve and share about God. He wanted them to know someone was on the front line against the devil for them. He wanted this knowledge to encourage them in their walk with God.

Gratitude and a life of thanksgiving is one of the essential guardians of your soul. Gratefulness will dispel discontent.

Knitting ourselves in love with other believers will result in greater understanding and treasures of Godly wisdom. The deepest and most certain insights into the character of God and the wisdom of God come into heads that are attached o loving hearts.

*1 Peter 1:22

Obedience to the truth purifies our soul. The Holy Ghost helps you to love genuinely. He is not only the comforter. He will teach you and guide you. He will create an atmosphere of self-sacrificing love for one another.

1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.

Theology is a holy science, and its riches are hidden from unholy people. If you want to know God better, love your enemy. The devil wants to lead you astray. Living a life of thanksgiving will cause the spoilers to remove from you.

Paul encouraged to live abounding in thanksgiving with self-sacrificing love for one another to guard against the enemy.

For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,
² that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,
³ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
⁴ Now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words.
⁵ For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
⁶ As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him,
⁷ rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
⁸ Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
