Step out in faith to be fruitful and not hidden. God is happy when we try impossible things. Faith is believing through God we can do impossible things.

Jesus said, “Come!” when Peter saw Him walking in the water in the storm and wished to go to Him. When he began to sink he cried out to Jesus to save him. Jesus will be there to rescue us from those seemingly impossible situations.

Passover Week in Jerusalem was in remembrance of the angel of death passing over all who place the blood of a lamb on their doorframes. Jesus became our sacrificial lamb. He was the atonement of our sins. Atonement is the complete removal of something. Our sins are not hidden or moved out of sight. They are completely removed from us. Forgotten to be remembered no more.

Romans 5:11
¹¹ And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

After going to the temple and ridding it of the money changers, Jesus gathered with His friends and then returned into the city. He looked for food finding a fig tree. It had leaves only but no fruit having bloomed out of season. He cursed it to bear fruit no more. We are called to bear fruit in season.

Matthew 21:18-19
¹⁸ Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. ¹⁹ And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away.

God is looking for the fruit of His Spirit: love, joy, peace, lonsguffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.

Galatians 5:22
²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, ²³gentleness, self-control.

Fruit is the evidence of true servitude to God. We can be just full of “leaves” ornamental and for show. Without integrity and authenticity, we can’t please God. Adam hid behind leaves when he was consumed with shame. Jesus is looking for courage to step out of hiding and produce fruit through serving.
