The first problem God had to deal with that man faced was not sin, it was solitude. God saw that after all His wonderful creation, that man was all alone. For many, the previous months have left us feeling like we are isolated, forgotten, and lonely. We were never designed to do life alone. God saw that Adam could not do life alone so He created Eve. From the very beginning we have needed other people in our lives. The reason for that need is life can often times become heavier than we can handle on our own. We just have to be careful who we turn to when we face those situations. Jesus tells us when life becomes more than we can carry by ourselves, we can turn to Him for help. (Matthew 11:28-30 Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.) The value of being yoked with someone else is that it halves the load. You are not carrying the entire load by yourself. Jesus uses three important phrases in this passage of scripture. “Come to me, Team up with me, then, Learn how I do it.” When you yoke your life up with Jesus, you learn how He can help carry your load. You learn how to navigate life more easily. The more you trust God to control your life, the easier life becomes to live. It’s a no-brainer, Get hooked up with God!
