Walk in Grace and Truth
We need to be strong in the grace and truth of God’s word. As believers we should be strong and not give in on matters of morality and holy living.
God’s Chosen People
God promised heirs to Abraham. These heirs would carry the covenant and promise of God. He would call these people His chosen people. Sarah tried to make this promise come about in her own planning doubting God’s power to bring about the miracle He promised. Abraham returned to his full persuasion that what God promised He was able to perform.
Jews were the chosen people of God. All others were separate and alienated from God’s special covenant. Gentiles were strangers to the promise of the Messiah. Thus they were left in the world, they had no hope of spiritual life and immortality, and were godless in thought and act.
One of the Chosen
I have no personal righteousness without the blood of the cross that cleansed me. I am unique and set apart through the blood of Jesus Christ. God made covenant with all people. God made a promise of making all people His people. We have all been made children of Abraham and heirs of the covenant.
The trouble with the church today is that we don’t know who we are. We say amen to everybody and everything that sounds good. But let me tell you that everything that is coming down the pipeline today is not truth. Knowing your identity in Jesus is so very important. If you don’t know who you are in God, instead of you winning people, they’ll win you.
Grace and Truth
Friendship with the world has become stronger than the fellowship of the saints of God. Friendships have become so strong that believers will give in on matters of morality and holy living. We need to be strong in the grace and truth of God’s word. The anointing of grace laced with great truth and theology.
John 1:14
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
