I’ve seen many trophies during my life. They range from one end of sports to the other. Mounts of trophy animals taken during a hunt, medals for competition, and trophies for being top athletes in their sport. Trophies are there to do one thing, remind us of our successes. The children of Israel often took stones and piled them up as a reminder of what God had done for them. It was their trophy case. We need to have a trophy case for our spiritual walk so that we are encouraged to take on the hurdle life sends our way. God doesn’t want us to be fearful of moving forward, He wants us to remember what he has done in the past and move forward with confidence that He can do it again. (2 Timothy 1:7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.) The more you think about your spiritual success in the past, the more confidence you will have in taking on today’s challenges. Don’t let Satan place those thoughts of doubt and fear into your mind.
