What would it look like if we always walked in the doors of our church with the expectation of seeing God’s power of healing, restoration, redemption, blessing overflowing? Imagine church parking lots full. A sanctuary full of people worshipping. How often do we come into the church expecting the presence of God and His glory?

We need to be a church that is ready. A church in anticipation and prepared to see God move in our lives. People who are expectant will be drawn to Him.

John 12:32
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

We must be ready for the call to be salt and light to the world.

2 Timothy 4:1-2
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

We are called to be prepared in prayer and study of His word. There is preparation required to be in the position to be ready. We will not be sent to do what we are unprepared to handle. We need a changed life prepared to serve God. How ready are we? If God called today, would you be prepared to serve?

Matthew 25:8-10
And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Easy isn’t always best. The quickest, least amount of effort is not always the best route to accomplish the goal. If we want, God to move we can’t depend on what worked years ago or even what touched us last sermon. God’s mercies are new every day. We have to communicate with God everyday.

The flesh has to be defeated each day. God has to be our priority each morning. We need a filling of His power each day to rise and run all day and give your best to what God requires of us that day.

Matthew 4:4
It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.

Community and fellowship with likeminded people fills believers. Surrounding ourselves with other believers and seeking fellowship with our Christian community will fill our spiritual tanks. Satan will look for ways to drain our tanks. We need each other for encouragement and support

Ecclesiastes 4:12
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

We need to step up, stand in, and start out on the calling of discipleship. The church must be prepared to move for God.

Matthew 24:46
Blessed is that servant, whom his Lord when He cometh shall find so doing.
