In a world where the truth is often the last thing you hear about certain events, it is still important for you and I to tell the truth. Many people speak with their mouths what others want to hear while in their hearts they know it is not the truth. You don’t have to be rude, just tell the truth. (Ephesians 4:15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.) If you are continuously saying what others want to hear, you are not honest about your desires, feelings, or thoughts. I am guilty of simply making an excuse as to why I can’t do something for someone instead of simply telling the truth that I am not comfortable doing it.
