STRENGTH IN HUMILITY!!
The thought of humbling ourselves is often thought as an act of weakness. We are born with this desire to do things ourselves, so giving in to the assistance of someone else is not always easy for us to do. Humility is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom. Humility is knowing we cannot succeed by trusting in ourselves and our own human effort. We need God’s help and we can be thankful He is always there for us. (1 Peter 5:5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit youselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.) When we humble ourselves before God and welcome His presence and help in our lives, He equips us and shows us what we should be doing. I can testify that most of my failures in life have come from me attempting to live life by my own choices and strength. I have found that my greatest times of frustration have come when I tried to do things on my own that only God could do. Attempting to live this life on our own will only lead to frustration and failure. But we can live a peaceful, content, joyful, overcoming life when we realize God is able to help us do things we can not do on our own. I confess that I am totally dependent on God to make it through this day. I have the greatest sense of satisfaction in admitting it. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
