Our thought process first thing in the morning sets the tone for the day. You have already been bombarded with various thoughts this morning. Some of those thoughts are positive thoughts and some of those thoughts are negative thoughts. The thought process that you choose this morning will go a long way in determining your thought process for today. (Proverbs 15:15 All the days of the oppressed are wicked, but the cheerful heart has a continual feast.) The idea of this scripture is that if you allow negative thoughts to rule your day, then your day is going to be an oppressed day. You will be captive to your thoughts. Situations will seem bad even though they are not nearly as bad as they seem. The opposite side of those thoughts is also true. The cheerful heart, the positive thinker, has a continual party all day. Now we know that not everyday is a party, we have struggles of some kind each day. God is telling us if we are in tune with him, he will make our daily walk joyful. Do you want to feel oppressed or do you want to be cheerful today?
