SPEAK OR DON’T SPEAK!!
The one thing most of us have is the ability to speak our mind. The older we get, the easier it is to allow ourselves to speak before we think. I am a lot like my parents, I often speak too straight to people and that can be offensive. It’s not that it is not true, it’s just that it doesn’t need to be said in the way I often say it. I’ve found out through the years that I don’t have to speak every word that comes to my mind. The Bible instructs to watch our conversation. (Psalm 34:13-14 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. 14. Turn from evil and do good: seek peace and pursue it.) This Psalm begins with the words, “I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.” The easiest way to win the battle of speaking the right words is to keep God on your mind and on your tongue. You never make yourself any bigger by talking down to others. Take a few minutes and read this scripture today. It will help you know when to speak and when not to. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
