SOWING!! REAPING!!

I had a friend bring me the first fresh vegetables of the year. They came from a garden he had planted. As I read my devotion this morning, I was reminded how the seeds we sow produce the plants that grow and produce the vegetables we eat. The plants are the result of a good seed. The fruit is a result of a good gardener caring properly for the plants. The seeds we sow and the way we take care of the plants determine what type of harvest we will enjoy. (Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.) The seed has been planted into our lives and the plant has had an opportunity to spring up. God is the gardener that cares for the plant, our lives, and makes it possible for us to produce good fruit. Good fruit can be the way we treat people. You can build them up with a kind word or a compliment. You can express your appreciation for others with a thank you or a pat on the back. God planted us here to produce. Take opportunities to listen to people and lend a helping hand when they need it. You can believe the best of others and offer forgiveness to those who have offended you. I encourage you to treat everybody with love and respect. You will not only glorify God, you will also receive blessings by reaping what you sow. Pastor Don
