The commercials on TV talk about solar lights. You can put them everywhere and light up the darkness places around your home. They don’t need batteries changed, they work by being recharged by the sun. If they are put in a shaded area they won’t work because they receive no sunlight to charge by. If you asked most people how they know someone is a Christian, most of their answers would reflect going to church. Church attendance is a good thing, but being a child of God means so much more than going to church. It means absorbing the power and reflecting who God is through our lives. (John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.) We will never have any real lasting victory in our Christian life without spending time in personal, private fellowship with the Lord. He has an individual plan for you. If you ask Him, He will come into your heart and commune with you. He will teach and guide you in the way you should go. We are called to be the light of the world. The only way we can light up the dark spots in this world is to be charged each day by placing ourselves where we can absorb direct power from God. Get in the Son Shine, then, go light the world.
