NEAR EMPTY?? FILL UP!!
[image: image.png] When I was a young married man, my co-worker and I ran out of gas two times in a Ford Pinto that got 35 miles to a gallon. We drove right by service stations with money in our pocket to buy gas and drove until we were out of gas. I remember when my children had just began to drive that if I used one of their automobiles I expected it to be almost out of gas. They knew that if I used their car that I would fill it up with gas. Our bodies are like automobiles that God allows us to drive around. He knows that in order for us to perform to their maximum capabilities they need to be filled up. God energizes us through His Spirit that lives within us. (1 Corinthians 12:6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.) Fuel energizes an automobile. Energize means to give strength or force to do. The Spirit works the same way in our lives. It energizes us to do and become all we are supposed to be. All of our attitudes, good or bad thoughts, have an effect on our spiritual gas mileage. We can energize our mind and body with positive thoughts that God is with us and we are on the winning side. Or, we can drain our tanks with worry, anxiousness, and negative thoughts that we are not going to make it. God is the strength of our lives. Be like the Energizer Bunny, never stop enjoying the strength that God has allowed to run through you. If we want to perform to our maximum ability and be energized, then we need to choose to think in ways that will help fuel us. Pastor Don
