When asked to take part, volunteer, or venture into a new area of ministry or life, we often only look at what we do not have to do the work. We see our inabilities, our lack of experience, or feel uncertainty about being successful doing something new. Yet, around the house, we find ways to get the job done regardless of what it may be. We will extend ourselves to unbelievable lengths to do things for our children. God is wanting us to moved doing His work in the same way. He wants us to let our love for Him be the driving force that moves us on against all odds. (1 Timothy 6:18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.) The missionaries around the world come from all classes of people. Some had the means and money to go to other parts of the world and minister to needy people, while others had to work extra jobs to raise the money to go. The driving force behind those efforts is love. If compassion and love are the forces behind your motives, you will find a way to get the task completed. What motivates you today? What is it that compels you to do ministry, reach out to others, and lend a helping hand? If love is your driving force, you will find a way.
