KEEP YOUR CHIN UP!! IT’S ALMOST OVER!!

Last Sunday morning as I was leaving service I saw one of our young girls crying. I asked her if she was having a bad day and said shook her head yes. I said, do you think today is going to get better when you get home and she shook her head no. I saw the same little girl Wednesday night at service and asked her if she had had a good week and she said yes. I said, so your week did get better didn’t it? She shook her head yes. How often do we think our situation will never end. We see nothing but gloom and doom. Happiness seems so far away. We become so discouraged. (Psalm 30:5 For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.) We all experience times of frustration and distress over unfulfilled hopes and dreams. When things don’t go according to your plans, it’s normal to feel disappointment. Things may make you feel sad temporarily, but when you know that weeping only lasts for a time and then comes joy, it makes everything better. Satan seeks to fill your mind with negative thoughts and emotions that cause you to feel down because He is a discourager. But Jesus is your encourager, and He came to lift you up. He came to give you righteousness, joy, and all the things that cause you to feel “up”! Pastor Don
