Joshua’s Journey
We are all on a journey like Joshua’s journey. The journey is worth it because what God plans for our life, he will see us through it. We need to grow as we go.
Joshua 10:12-14
Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the dight of Israel, sun stand thou still upon Gibeon; and you, moon, in the valley of Aijalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasper? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day. And there was no day like that before or or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.
On a journey for more
We are on a journey like Joshua’s journey to know more about God and His word.
Joshua encouraged himself in the Lord. Joshua was a spirit filled man. The wholly followed God.
Amelek was a valley dweller. He was there to discourage God’s people. He was there to try to get God’s people off track.
Not looking for comfort
Joshua was looking for God. Joshua wanted to be where God was.
We need to be brave and spirit filled like Joshua. We need to have Joshua’s boldness.
God is on our side and will encourage us.
Joshua had to be picked up.
Joshua cried out to God. It’s our joy to be able to cry out to God.
God commanded Joshua to get up and continue in the way He had commanded.
Sin was dealt with and he carried on.
We can boldly cry out to God and He will hold us and carry us until we are comforted and conquering in His will and by His might.
