People try to find fulfillment in life by carnal means. Some will find themselves in debt and others will jeopardize their health and wellbeing trying to find fulfillment in means other than God.

We need a relationship with our maker. We need a relationship with our Lord. God will satisfy your thirst and will meet every need. He alone makes us complete.

We look for satisfaction

It’s easy to look for satisfaction and contentment in worldly things. It’s so easy to lose yourself in  worldly things. We have access to an endless amount of distractions on our phones and computers, and with that it’s easy to find people to justify your feelings instead of correcting you. You will find deceit and empty lies in the world.

There are spoilers that want to pull you away from God

Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Anyone can get on a platform and fill you with lies and their ways of thinking. Christians shouldn’t put weight on mans thoughts and opinions if it contradicts the what the Bible says. People can try to convince you that politics can save us and make your life better, but Jesus Christ is the only one that can.

Jesus dwells in fullness of the Godhead

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. 

Jesus is our mediator and in him dwells the fullness of the Godhead. The Bible is filled with people that Jesus healed and delivered from their past. Know who Jesus is. In Jesus, we are made complete. He is the king of Glory.

He is the head of all principality and power

Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

There is nothing lacking because I’m living in union with Christ. Jesus Christ has fulfilled everything I was lacking in life. We don’t have to look for another companionship with someone else. We don’t have to look for the alcohol and drugs to find fulfillment. When we fill empty and beat down, we are still complete because Christ fulfills you. We are complete in Him. We are satisfied in Him.
