The Bible says that it is so much better to give than to receive. That doesn’t seem to be the mentally of our present age world. We are all about getting things and getting them as easily as we can. The person, church, ministry, or other organizations that are making a difference in the world are all givers. They find a way to share with others what they have. (1 Timothy 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate.) If you are indifferent about helping others, you will always find an excuse not to. If you want to help others you will find a way out of the love in your heart to help. Greed follows the flesh, but giving follows the Spirit. It may be something really small in your eyes that you do, but, if you do it in love God magnifies your efforts. We all need to be loved, but I believe our personal joy is strongly connected to loving others. Something beautiful happens in our hearts when we give. What is God calling you to give today? Time to spent with others, Talents to share with others, Tithe to support your local church, Offering to help others with their problems, we all have something to share.
