Grace in the Eyes of the Lord
Grace is a gift we don’t deserve, but God gives the opportunity to make better decisions. Live so you find grace in the eyes of the Lord.
In these days of depravity, some are saying “where is the church”. The voice of the church seems to be lost in the injustice and perversion and loss of identity in today’s world. When the pulpits speak out on what the Bible say, the people of the church need to speak up and back the Word.
Matthew 24:35
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my word will stand forever.
Genesis is the book of beginnings. It is here that we see into the theology of the creator God. In the soil of the book of Genesis our mind is challenged to believe the sovereignty and the intentional will of His nature and purpose. It is here we get glimpse o the mind and character of God. Like a scroll, God unveils His plan for mankind.
The law is given to us as a schoolmaster bringing us to God. It is here we discover that sin is transgression of the law. Mercy and grace are discovered in the forgiveness of the transgression.
In Genesis chapter 6, it sounds as if God is frustrated. He is sorry that He made man. He said, “It repenteth Me”. In our vernacular, the Hebrew would read I hate that I made man. God is disgusted with man. Every thought of evil and every imagination of corruption is in the heart and mind of man.
Genesis 6:6
And it repented the LORD that He had made man on the earth, and it grieved Him at His heart.
The extent of such disgust almost resulted in total genocide. So provoked to anger He sent a flood upon the earth. Only eight souls survived. If Noah had been the kind of person who had to keep up with culture, he would have drowned in the flood. The challenge today is to see in scripture that grace is available to help you overcome the fear of not fitting in and to standout like a light in the darkness of sin and depravity.
John 3:17
For God sent not His son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be save.
Jesus came into the world to provide a door to enter into salvation. There is no other name by which to be saved. He is the only door, the only way, the only name to call on for the promise of surviving this culture and living forever with Him. We need to refuse to fit into a mold that causes God to regret making us. Stand by the Word of God, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Grace is a gift we don’t deserve, but God gives the opportunity to make better decisions. To change our walk with Him in righteousness. It’s easy to get caught up in culture, but God is calling you to find grace to make changes and courage to stand out. If you are not willing to take a stand and refuse to just fit in, then quit telling people you are a Christian. Stand on your conviction. Stand on what you believe.
What should stir our hearts is the fact that I don’t ever want my Heavenly Father to regret me. He can chastise me, correct me, refuse me, but please God don’t ever regret me. Our world must be repentant. We need some standouts. People who stand up for what we believe.
2 Chronicles 7:14
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
