GOD DOESN’T PLAY FAVORITES!!
If you’ve ever had children play sports you know what it’s like to have people play because of their social standing instead of their talent. It’s tough to watch a child that has more talent be left out because another child’s parents give more money to the organization. I was listening to the conversation of some children and they were talking about one of their classmates being the teacher’s pet. Do you remember the days in school when that ONE person seemed to get to do everything and you didn’t get to do very much? There may have been times that the teacher’s pet was not the most thought of person in your class. I am so glad we serve a God who does not have favorites. What he will do for one, he will do for everyone. (Colossians 3:11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcized, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all) I have often said that the ground is level at the foot of the cross. We all have to come to God the same way. Equal means just, equitable, giving the same or similar rights or advantages. The world places labels and assigns varying values to almost everything, but in God’s eyes, we are all equal. He loves and values each of us equally. We are one in Christ. We are the ones who think about all our faults and failures and think God must think less of us than someone else who doesn’t appear to have our blemishes. The truth is that God has no favorites, He treats all of us the same. Enjoy your day knowing you are equal with all of God’s other children. Go be yourself!! Everyone else is already taken.
