Draw Near To God
When we draw near to God, there is no need for pretense. If we seek Him with our whole heart, He will answer according to His will.
Prayer is Fellowship
God does not hear those in habitual rebellion. We have fellowship with Him when we walk in the light. Light dispels and takes precedence over dark.
There is joy when praying and worshiping in His presence. Come before Him with singing and thanksgiving.
Your fellowship with God is dependent on your fellowship with man. Your forgiveness is predicated on your ability to forgive your neighbor. Jesus said to love those who hurt you. He said great is your reward when you do good to your enemy. To pray a fervent prayer, there can be no malice in your heart. The condition of our heart will determine the level of being in God’s presence.
Prayer is Worship
Worship will usher you into the presence of God. We must abide in His presence through purifying our hearts. Pray without ceasing. Stay in an attitude of prayer.
Prayer is Constant
Walk in fellowship with God. How you walk effects how you pray. We have access to where He is. He said to come boldly as sons and daughters. Pray like you are part of the family. God loves to be in relationship and fellowship with us His children.
Prayer is Personal
We need to pray from our hearts. We can’t depend on the prayers of others. God wants us to come to Him personally with our own requests. Jesus gave the disciples an outline for praying. Earnest and honest prayers from our heart will enable us to experience the presence of God and get results.
Psalm 73:28
But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord God my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
Psalm 50:14
Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High,
Psalm 24:3-6
3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in His holy place? 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. 5 He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.
James 4:8
Draw near to God, and he will draw to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
1 Samuel 12:23
Moreover, as for me, far be it form me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.
