The failure of many good intentions is procrastination. If we put things off until they are convenient to do, they most often never get done. How often have you looked at something that needs doing around your house and said, “I’ll get to that later.” One of the saying that I grew up hearing was, “Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can get done today.” Procrastination is one of the major tools Satan uses to keep us from ever doing the right thing. He doesn’t try to tell us not to do something, Satan simply gets us to keep putting it off another day. How often have you thought about someone or a certain situation and thought you needed to remember to pray about that? Why not pray right now? You don’t have to wait until church time or prayer meeting, God is listening now. (1 John 5:14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.) Praying would be easy if we just followed the lead of our heart, but Satan wants us to wait until later. He is hoping something else will distract you or you will forget the matter entirely. The moment you see a FB page requesting prayer, Stop and Pray! When you are made aware of a situation that needs to be prayed over, Stop and Pray!
