One of the children’s games that I have always enjoyed playing is Lego’s. The fun part of Lego’s is that they have to be connected to one another in order to build all the fun things they are designed to build. Life is designed the same way. We are built to be connected with others in order to enjoy all that life has to offer. We all experience times in our lives when we need others to help hold us together through difficult times. My Bible reading this morning talked about the importance of being strong for one another. (Romans 1:11-12 I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong. 12. that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.) If you’re a part of God’s family, the church, you don’t have to go through life’s ups and downs on your own. A building is one of the most important pictures of the church in the Bible. In a building, all the connected parts hold each other together. They provide support. You and I need this stability. You weren’t meant to go through life disconnected. You are God’s Lego! You were designed for connection. You were made to be in the “building” of God where we connect to one another. The number one tactic Satan loves to use is loneliness. Satan loves to isolate you and make you think no one cares. Reconnect today. Find your place and see what encouragement you will find through your faith and the faith of others.
