CALLED!! UNCALLED??
[image: image.png] I’ve always attempted to keep my thought for the day positive and uplifting. I feel people battle so many things in life and need encouraged. I hope you can find the encouragement in this thought this morning. Commitment is a dying attribute in our modern day society. People just don’t stick with what they say they will do, they don’t keep their word. People are deciding that they have done enough, served long enough, deserve a rest, want a break, or need a vacation from the commitment they have made. Christians are no exception to these decisions. We are living in a time when we need to let our light shine brighter than it has ever shined and we have fewer and fewer people who will step up and be a beacon. Elijah addressed a group of people and asked this question, “Who is going to be your God?” He told the people it is time to choose. (1 Kings 18:21 Elijah went before the people and said, How long will you waver between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.) I hear of so many people who are getting out of ministry. They feel it is time for them to do something different. They want to start a new SEASON in their life. If God has called, created, gifted, and placed you into your area of ministry, does He un-call, un-create, un-gift, or remove you from your place? We need to refocus, refuel, rekindle the fire, and re-dedicate ourselves to what God has called us to do. Serving God is not something we do when we don’t have anything else to do. Serving God has to be a decision we make everyday. Regardless of your calling, make sure you are doing it to your best ability. Pastor Don
