I don’t have to tell you that everything you face in life is not pleasant. This has been a week of heartbreak for several people we know as they have lost loved ones. This has been a week of struggle for others as they battle terminal diseases. So, how do you deal with the verse that I read this morning that says to be thankful in all things? It can be a challenging task. (1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.) The previous verses encourage us to rejoice always and to pray continually. We are to be thankful to God for all the blessings he has given us like life, mind, family, job, freedom, food, etc. One important thing to note is that the Bible tells us to be thankful in all circumstances, not be thankful for all circumstances. There is a big difference. You may not like the situation you find yourself in today, but you should be thankful God is there with you. You may not like the condition of the world but you can be thankful God is ultimately in control. Be thankful in all things. God is still God. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
