A Promise to the Fighter
We are in the army of God and this stirs up the enemy, but if we submit and resist the devil, God has made a promise to the fighter. God will defeat and destroy the enemy.
Joshua 10:1-10
We are the sheep of God’s pasture. But there are other identities we have in Christ. We have been called soldiers. We have been called to put on armor and to a battlefield. There are circumstances where we have to make up our mind to fight. The devil will not sit on the sidelines and we are in the army of Christ. We are on the battlefield of Christ. Through Him we are more than conqueror’s. We have His armor we can put on and march on as soldiers of Christ. There is a guarantee with the army of God that no weapon will fail. We are guaranteed victory.
There is a coalition gathered against the army of God. But the enemy has never met an army like the army of God. Know that obedience must go before the march. Sin must be dealt with whenever enemies come against you. There is no compromise with sin. Enemies of the flesh must be crucified and destroyed. The word of God says He will defeat all enemies. There is grace to save us from our wickedness.
Staying in the holy house and around the holy alter will change us. It will make us faithful and rejoicing people. The world will draw us into sin and deception. The enemy is afraid of people called by God. The enemy is terrified of people who know their worth in Christ. People of God who know their potential in Him intimidate the devil.
If the devil isn’t bothering you, you aren’t bothering the devil. When you follow Jesus, you enlist into an army that wars against the enemies of this world. We can’t turn loose of the hand of Jesus or His strength in the battles. His hand is unmovable and unbreakable. We are in His army but we cannot overcome the enemy without Him.
In the night of battles, Jesus is not afraid of the darkness. He knows where you are and is not afraid to come to where you are if you trust in Him. He brings our redemption. He has our victory. God will confound, harass, and slay the enemies of this world. He is our defender when the enemy attacks us personally. The Bible tells us to submit ourselves and resist the devil and God will rescue us.
Joshua 10:25
And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
