I recently read the story of climbing Mt Everest, the tallest mountain in the world. The climb was a result of a strong desire to climb higher mountains than he had yet accomplished. Yesterday I was thinking of the Mega Churches and ministries and thought of the enormous success they have enjoyed all because someone dared to be more than there were. We hear them tell their faith stories and their willingness to follow their God-given dream. I believe God’s will for us is to live by faith and to believe we can be more than we are now. We need more faith and a love for the people around us to become what God wants us to be. (Colossians 1:4 Because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all God’s people.) Most people get overwhelmed when they think of doing all that is expected of them. They would rather stay in their comfort zone and do status quo. That’s where our faith comes into play. When we realize that all we have to do is start our God-given path and then God will help us continue as we trust in him. Every mega ministry that you see or hear of today started with a simple childlike faith that God would see them through. Get started and see just how far you can go. Nothing is impossible with God. God is most pleased with us when we are on our way to perfection. (Philippians 3:14 Not that I have already obtained all this, or I have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.)
