Jesus commissions us as the Father sent Him—empowered by the Holy Spirit to bring healing, liberty, and restoration. The church, filled with His Spirit, is called to minister freedom, proclaim the gospel, and carry God’s resurrecting power to a broken world.

Summary of John 20:21 – “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

  • Commission with Peace & Power

    • Jesus sends His disciples with the same authority He was sent with.

    • “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” (John 20:21 NKJV)

  • Empowered by the Spirit

    • “Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, was led by the Spirit” (Luke 4:1)

    • Ministry flows only through the Spirit’s anointing (Luke 4:18–19).

    • The Spirit sustains, blesses, and empowers when nothing else can.

  • The Spirit’s Mission

    • Heal the brokenhearted.

    • Proclaim liberty to captives.

    • Open blinded eyes.

    • Set the oppressed free.

    • Proclaim the Lord’s acceptable year (Luke 4:18–19).

  • Affirmed by the Father

    • “You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased.” (Luke 3:22 NKJV)

    • God confirms and sustains His servants with His Spirit.

  • The Church’s Call

    • Minister healing to the brokenhearted.

    • Be a house of liberty and freedom.

    • Declare God’s resurrecting power to heal, restore, bless, and deliver.

    • Pray: “God, send me as You sent the Lord.”

 

There’s power with the Spirit. Go and be witnesses. It is written, as God says it is. He will keep, sustain when nothing else will. Holy Spirit continues to bless and keep us. God wants to pour out His power. Declaring the Spirit of the Lord is upon us. Only by the Spirit can we be anointed to minister. The Spirit is a healer of the broken hearted. The church should minister and heal the broken hearted. Preach deliverance to the captive. The church is a house of liberty and freedom. God will send His Resurrecting power – heal, restore, bless, deliver. God send me as You sent the Lord.
