Without a vision, we will perish.

Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom’s instruction.

Here I am, send me

After he was cleaned, he said send me. He didn’t know what he would encounter or what he would face on his journey, but he knew God would be with him and help him along the way. When I saw him, I saw what he had to offer. I said “Here I am”. Here am I Lord, send me into the world to do your work. The value of the Lord can turn this world around.

Isaiah 6:1-8
I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.  Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

We need to have a strong foundation.

Luke 14:25-27
“If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple. And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.”

Jesus isn’t saying you can’t love your family and friends to be his disciple, He is saying to seek him first. Make Jesus a priority and have a relationship with him, and you can be his disciple.

Luke 14:28-30
“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.”

Without a firm foundation and without a vision, we will perish. We need to seek him and make the commitment to serve him- Here I am Lord, send me.
