Every athlete takes time to warm up and stretch before entering into competition. It stretches and loosens the muscles they are going to be using. The stretching does exactly what it says, it stretches out the muscles in order to not do them harm when exerted harshly in the sport. Our walk with God asks us to stretch out from time to time. Our faith is stretched when we face things bigger than we are. Our Spiritual muscles are challenged when we are called on to do something we’ve never done before. Paul talked about this type of stretching in my devotion today. We have to put our faith into action when we can’t see the future clearly. (2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight.) It’s important to remember God is on your side as you go into new situations, because fear and doubt will always be lying in wait to try to keep you from following Him. Don’t let those things hold you back. Remember that God is with you and He’s bigger than any problem you may face. Don’t be afraid to stretch your faith because it will give you greater capacity to fulfill your God-given potential. Pastor Don [image: image.png]
